I'd seriously like Tice to have a LOT of input into FA, but I fear that it being known that Martz has his say so that something stupid's gonna come from it..

That is precisely why I don't like Mike Martz as our offensive coordinator. I would much prefer to have Mike Tice as the OC because he will take great pains in making sure the offensive line is the ultimate contributor to the offense and the offense is predominantly ball controlling in nature. I have never liked that "Greatest Show on Turf" horse shit, as I have always favored the old I-Formation pitch outs and off-tackle plays to the running backs that set up play-action passes. One of the maxims of great former head coaches at the collegiate level like General Robert Neyland of the University of Tennessee, Bear Bryant at the University of Alabama, and Woody Hayes at The Ohio State University is one simple catch phrase: "Three things can happen when you throw the ball, and two of 'em are bad." When we couldn't run the ball in 2009, Cutler was beset by the interception bug, throwing 26 of them that year. Last year, once we "introduced" the power run into our offensive strategy and it became a mainstay in our game planning, his interception total dropped by ten to 16 despite having a shitty offensive line that didn't protect him. I expect better results from him this year, but I sincerely hope that the Bears don't just totally scrap the run in favor of a pass happy offense on account of Mike Martz's weird sexual fancy with the frequent, early and often forward pass.
