Defense is like HEROIN to Angelo...
...you know what you need...Offense. (food)
But you know what you LIKE...Defense. (drugs)
Two of five picks went to a minor concern...Offense
Three of five picks went to where the drug habit lies...Defense
God help you Cutler, you and yours on offense are the low man on the totem pole.
Good luck from a GM that has ignored you once again!
The Deeeeeeeeeetroit Lions have set up shop to kill you.
And Green Bay already has...bet you thought they were gonna get you help, eh Cutler?
Carimi does not an OG or WR make. Look out!

While I concur that the offense should've had better looks, I'm still gonna wait to see if we pick up a guard or two and maybe a WR in FA. Oddly enough, though they don't need to make a $$$ splash like they did last year, they need a better amount of production than from the combined total from FA.

The offensive linemen they pick up in free agency better be logan mankins-esque.. if not Cutler is screwed once again. I feel bad for Jay. He will have the shakes and nightmares for years thanks to Jerry Angelo.
Maybe Gabe will help by knocking a few defenders out...

You can see where there is somwhat of a LACK OF CONCEPT about how offense works,
when it comes to the honchos at Halas Hall.
TWO first rounders for Jay Cutler.
THEN...
draft DAN LEFEVOUR...who mysteriously DISSAPEARED!!
THEN...
draft NATHAN ENDERLE...a condom where none was needed because you want to get the honey pregnant!
Now the IDEA of a SMITH & WESSON Model 629 .44 Magnum revolver gentlemen is when you have SIX SHOTS,
ala this past draft, you want to get the maximum effect if you have to sqeeeeeeeeeze the trigger,
so that each shot counts!

Come on guys, how much turnover did you honestly expect? I think two positions is the absolute most, and considering the staff's irrational love for Garza, I wonder if one is all we could ever hope for from the get-go. I'll be the first to admit Brewer or Boling were the right pick for this team in the third, but there's no guarantee either of them would have started this season. On the other hand, if we do play this season, there will be some sort of FA and a guy like Dockery or Kosier (both would be UFA regardless of CBA) would be a nice stop-gap upgrade over Garza, who is the only guy I think needs replacing immediately.
Our line has already improved exponentially talent, power and athleticism-wise with just the one addition of Carimi, and I am very encouraged by Webb and CWill's strong close to last season. I think we have three building blocks in those guys and Olin should be fine for another season. Garza NEEDS competition, and Boling would have been ideal for that, no question whatsoever, but it's not the end of the world if we go stop-gap for a season there. Right now, I guess we have to hope Louis' bright spots (weren't a ton, but when they did flash, they were very bright) become more illuminated this season and he carries himself with more consistency with another season learning the interior under his belt.

Sox, Olin hasn't been fine the last two season, his replacement was a necessity this year; same w/Garza. You're giving this group WAY to much credit. And their jobs will be tougher this year. The 1st two choices were gimmie's; the minute that JA/co' had to actually think about what to do; they blew it. You're right the other guys probably don't start, but I don't think anyone we got outside of the first two rounds start either.

Olin had a pretty good bounce back this season and that's a pretty widely agreed upon opinion.

Wasn't Olin in the top five overall in Pro Bowl balloting, sox? He was certainly feisty this last season, and I think with the additional help around him, you are going to see a much improved player in both Garza and him.
