I think if the Bears don't crack the 15th in offense under martz this year, we should let him go. But seeing how stubborn lovie has been in the past, i don't see that happening, at all.

But if it don't work, ya gotta fix it. We tried a similar system in 04, and martz failed twice since stl.

I don't think Martz has too much power as he was reigned in from passing so much last season. What will be the death kneel of Martz will be (along with a unbalanced attack) is the large qb drops, lack of a shotgun, TE and FB uses. If he goes I think Tice could be the OC esp if that will keep him.
If we gain a WR in FA then it better be a guy that can pick up the system quickly or is familiar w/it. Don't think he can afford to have a redshirt season.

Here's my thoughts.
We HAVE to have three qb's on the roster. That was proven a few times last year.
Hannie is the second qb on our roster, and will be for this year. After this year I see them trading him for picks and grabbing another late round qb to grow.
Basically, this has nothing to do with hannie, or how Martz feels about Hannie, but more about growing qb's under Cutler to farm for draft picks... ala the way GB did under Favre.

I don't think Hanie is worth anything more than a 5th round pick. He could be a Scott Mitchell for all we know. He has never played a full game in the NFL so it is really hard to judge a guy on limited play. I think most of his play was in preseason which means nothing. I would like to see him get a few full games under his belt before making any judgement of the guy.
