Jeff Dickerson while co-hosting Waddle and Silvy had these thoughts on the OL.

    This is what he said

-The Bears will sign a starting OG in free agnecy, and more then likely it will be a LG.

-The Bears would like it to be LT Webb, RT Carimi.

-Chris Williams is a major wildcard and he is not an OG and he may not fit in at OT.

-Frank Omiyale did a better job at LT then Chris Williams did at LG.

    Dickerson's Prediction

    LT Webb
    LG FA
    C Kreutz
    RG Garza
    RT Carimi

    Waddles Prediction

LT Carimi, no competition you drafted him to play LT.
    LG Williams
    C Kreutz
    RG Garza/FA
    RT Webb

-He indicated from what he has heard from Halas Hall the Bears have no interest in playing Chris Williams at OT.

-He wants to try and get something from Chris Williams and the only position is at OG, which Dickerson laughed openly at.

-Carimi and Webb are the youngest and most talented of the OLmen and they are playing.

So would Cwill slide over to Garza's spot if we signed a LG or is he done?

Chris Williams needs to find a way to blow up the Gaurd position.... another 1st round bust does not help my defense of Jerry Angelo....

I'm still of the mind we need either a blocking FB or TE. Even if we add a guard in FA we'll need all the help we can get. Too bad Cwill can't play C.

On Waddle and Silvy they were talking about Chris Williams being cut, or competing with Frank Omiyale to be the back up OT.

Lance Louis is the one Im hopeful will be a staple to the oline one day. Im not as confident as you are with the rest of them. Having development guys shouldnt stop from getting another if its a late round pick but agree I wouldnt use an early pick for a player like that.

As far as Blocking TE I'm a big fan of Kellen Davis... he's still young and learning, but nobody can deny he's done well any time he's been on the field. hardly have I seen him on the wrong side of a bad play. Manu is worthless and Greg is a huge asset in the pass game when his number is called, but I don't see him becoming a true blocking TE.

if we had a good oline Omyale and Williams would be cut. But until this oline 5 starters are set they will be kept around
