What was Jerry thinking?

Our "best" players drafted each draft, before the season are always ones coming off of injury that are "1st round talent" that never get back their form, and turn out to be a waste of a pick and money. If he drafted a RT, when it's obvious LEFT TACKLE is the bigger problem between the two, what the **** is he thinking? Are we gonna start running to the right a lot more? Are we gonna line Cutler up under garza and have 2 guys trying to protect his blindside? As far as Paea goes, he just came off knee surgery, and is consistently said to be less of a pass rusher than a guy that takes up space. Maybe they're good, but we all know with his record, we're probably gonna get 2 halfass players, and if it were another draft, our gem would be in the late round, that comes on late in the season ala Knox and Wooton. This year we drafted 2 special teamers and a 3rd string quarterback. The likelihood of anything happening there is next to zero.

Not to mention his decision to go back on his deal with the ravens, just because of an error. It shows he has no class or intelligence, and when is he gonna learn to cut ties before it's too late? Tommie should've been cut 2 years ago, and Manu should've been released RIGHT AFTER THE SEASON.

Jerry was probably in the bathroom when the first two picks were made. I would be willing to bet Jerry was behind the next two picks. Lets draft a qb with on of our few picks we have. Why draft a safety when our top pick was Major Wright. We could have used a wr but fuck it we have Hester.

Eight of the past nine years you draft a safety.

If that isn't a sign that you're doing it wrong, I don't know what is!

That DE would have been a 1st round pick if it were not for his bum knee.

Isn't this the first year he's been in the front office of ANY team and he didn't take a DE? What, did they all test positive for angel dust?

3 of the 5 picks were on defense where our franchise qb gets 1 player and a back up that will probably be cut.

Henry I was going to respond intelligently to this but decided that it would be waste of both my time and bandwith. So instead why don't you just go shoot yourself and put us all, including you, out of misery. :toast:

I'm not the one picking a safety in 20 straight drafts, and only drafting QB's on the advice of a guy who thought Todd Collins "was a better option in the NFCC than Hanie, despite throwing 4 ints against the worst team in the league"(Martz' own words)

Some good points here. Paea was Pac 10 D-player of the year though, plus the Morris Award winner last 2yrs in a row as voted by Pac 10 O-linemen ..... so he MUST be doing something right. A wait and see tude would be better when it comes to this guy.

Oh ******** no. Everyone here knows that drafting just one guy for both lines isn't gonna solve anything, and seeing how Jerry likes to go after FA's that are nearing retirement (I'd say Garza should've retired 3-4 seasons ago), and not back them up with genuine prospects, we've not really got anything to cheer about. Peppers is obviously excluded.
