I can't say that I remember Leon Joe that much. He must've been a footnote in history not worthy of being remembered.
he was a workout warrior, tht played at maryland LB with ej henderson.. and blew henderson away at the combine and some analayst had him rated higher than EJ on draft day.. but of course he ended up the typical "looks like tarzan, plays like jane" syndrome.. and never did a thing on bears or the other teams he was on

Yes, the man with two first names didn't last long. See what I mean about football names and players performance though! No guy without a last name was ever gonna make it in the NFL. Now if it had been Leon Joe Grabowski that may have made a difference.

BTW was doing some research on the draft picks and looking at their pro-day write up's ans seeing i a big improveemnt from combine or bears interest:

Other Mountaineers of note among the 12 working out:
OLB J.T. Thomas (6-1 1/2, 237) ran 4.68 and 4.69 in the 40 and had a 33-inch vertical jump. He ran a 4.18 short shuttle and 7.01 three-cone drill, then stood on the rest of his combine numbers. Thomas was seen running through positional drills for Bears personnel.

Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Martz and Cincinnati Bengals quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese were among 10 talent evaluators on hand Friday for the University of Idaho’s pro day.
They braved temperatures in the low 40s to watch quarterback Nathan Enderle and nine other NFL prospects work out on FieldTurf.
Enderle, 6-foot-4 1/4 and 234 pounds, clocked 5.13 in the 40-yard dash, had a 25-inch vertical leap, 8-5 broad jump, 4.41 short shuttle and a three-cone drill time of 7.08. He ran through position drills with two quarterbacks coaches for about 30 minutes and had a pretty good workout.
---------------------------
Chris Conte (6-2 5/8, 199) ran 4.55 seconds twice in the 40-yard dash and did position workouts.

I'm going to kill the bastard who keeps saying that I steal other people's ideas and make them my own in posts. He can be described as a planet and he jumps around and "ribbits." lol
I don't know. I must be getting soft in my old age because I'm starting to like Nate Enderle more and more. I wouldn't be shocked if he comes into Chicago and wins the second string QB position out from under Caleb Hanie. It'll be a stretch, but he's got the tools to be a good solid backup to Cutler.

It's not a planet, it's a globe.

He might have but Wanny probably ruined him like he did just about everything else he touched. Everytime I see that emotionless look on Lovies face I always think that it could be worse. We could still be seeing that ridculous confused look Wanny always wore like he had no idea of what was happening on the field or why.

Why do we always have to criticize Lovie Smith's facial demeanor? He is a spitting image of a head coach he idolized growing up in that way - Tom Landry. Will he have the successes that Landry have? It's hard to say, unless we have a few more good draft picks along the way and we keep making the playoffs consistently and get to the Super Bowl a few more times. When you win, it doesn't matter what your emotional demeanor is like. Lovie's players love him, and they play hard for him. I can't believe that, like the Jay Cutler issue with the media, fans continue to bad mouth Lovie Smith just because he's not got a fiery personality like Ditka and Halas had.

I don't expect Lovie to behave like "Sybil" but I'd just once like to see him throw his head set off, sprint down the field and hug someone after a crucial score. Just once, that not too much to ask of him is it?
I'm getting used to him though. Like I told Benji, he could sit in a rocking chair and knit socks as long as we keep winning.

oh yeah! or the 'aww geezzz" he would start most press conferences or interview with, was like nails on a chalkboard... And like a landry or walsh, IF WINNING, our HC can look like a piece of stone for all I care : )
