I think that is one of the things the owners want put into the new contract. But blood tests open the door for testing for all sorts of other things which could likely violate personal privacy. Which is why testing for HGH (as long as you can only test for it through blood samples) will likely never happen.
I think that DB made mention that the NFL may go to the World standard of doping tests. What that is, I don't know; it may very well be the blood testing.

I think so, but the players union/association/whatever they call themselves now, will have to agree to it. Which they likely never will unless the owners give up something big on their end.

That's true. The NFLPA is pretty prickly on this sort of stuff. Honestly, this is one issue that I would side with the NFL on. There is no place for PEDs in sports, not in baseball and certainly not in football.

BTW, did you hear through the grapevine that the Bulls might be acquiring Dwight Howard? I didn't read the article as I saw the headline on The Bleacher Report, but usually when something like that pops up, there is a grain of truth behind.

    Never happen.

He will go to LA when his contract is up. Id love it, but that is a fan's speculation and hoop dream (no pun intended)

Some of those articles actually come from ESPN, The Sporting News, etc. Let me go find it and see what it says. I'll post it if it is something that is independent in nature in the Bulls section.

yep that is why they want the world doping agency to do it they test not only for HGH, but about 5-6 other compounds that are currently not tested for now... and becuase of the 'image" of not wanting dopers in the league if the NFLPA "fights it", its going to make them look bad, so think a very smart move to do it this way

Since when has the NFLPA ever done anything that makes it look anything but befuddled and stupid?

i keep hoping.. I keep hoping...

Personally NEVER understand any of the player unions( baseball, football hockey etc) not wanting the best testing, and most rigorous testing, and fighting the league's when caught with PED's... I mean that person is cheating ANd taking money out of the mouth of a "legit" player- and you would think all the players would want this also for natural athlete's.. but they never do.. its like all the football players not wearing the safer helmet or lying on the concussion tests, sometimes common sense doesn't work

No NFL player autographed footballs for you from now on.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Hey now, the Yogi Berra autographed baseball was a bargain at $82. I can't help it when I am manic and feel the necessity to spend money I don't have. Sometimes, his balls are listed at or more than $100 a pop.

Wait a second...that last sentence didn't sound good.
