    Poem, "Blitzing Brett Favre"

"Blitzing Brett Favre" by Jonathan Henderson (aka. "Dagan81"), on 5/17/11

There once was a man who set the world a-flame.
    His name was Brett Favre,
And he was the best in the game.
The game plan for him was for defenses to be carved,
And for the first 19 years, he made others starve.

Then, a frigid Monday Night against the mighty Bears came.
Favre had missed the prior game,
    And wasn't quite the same.
He started the game off by passing for a score,
But a couple of possessions passed
Before he was shown the door.
    The Bears blitzed and blitzed;
There was no way to escape,
    And then Wooten broke through
    And made Favre eat wake.

Now Favre was down. There was no turning back.
Wilted like dead flowers, he was broken by the sack.
All those times in the past where the gunslinger had won,
And all he could do then was to descend like the sun.
The Bears proved who was best in this cold Monday Night game
By blitzing Brett Favre, who will never again be the same.

Dead Flowers????? Did someone say Dead Flowers!

Nice piece Dags and here's a little Stones tribute to Mr Favre. Don't forget to put roses on his grave, LOL.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
