That may cause a lot of problems since it was the owners lockout that prevented them from working out. It's probably a whole lot better to pay the few million it costs and have done with it. In the grand scheme of things it's a pittance of a contracts overall value and not worth the bad blood witholding it would most likely cause.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

All depends who wins the case I think.

yep and as said since "most" of those bonuses are to your star players( not on most contracts)- can see them doing it as a give back" to keep them happy.. stay tuned

Then the question becomes whether or not they want to keep Pisa Timoisamoa. He can still be a valuable member of the team if healthy. The problem is that it has been years since he's been totally healthy.

I think if you get him on a one year deal(like we have done in the past with him) you take it. Even if you only get 4 games out of him that's 4 games you don't have to watch Nick Roach try to play linebacker.

Pisa on his worst day>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Roach. Too bad injuries have been hitting him so much at this point in his career, but he is an excellent third fiddle for us when healthy.

Exactly, for what he's cost us the past 2 seasons it's so low risk It's not like we have pro bowlers sitting on the bench because he's here, and he seems to like it here.

I wouldn't mind an upgrade there considering his health, but getting an upgrade in that department AND on the field is easier said than done within a budget. Ruud and Morrison aren't coming cheap in this market, Shanle is turning 32 and Burnett is going to get paid based on one really good contract season in a six year career. Outside of them, there really isn't a player I would consider better with 6+ years, so you take the risk on Pisa's health and keep roach around as a backup. Kind of a no-brainer, IMHO.
