Paul Ryan's oh-so-clever jab at Jay Cutler
By Kevin Seifert
Via Twitter, blog regular @GBChicinMaine is pressuring me to post an item on week-old comments attributed to Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, who apparently suggested the Bears are the best team in the NFC during a visit to a New Mexico elementary school.
Sorry, GBChic. Knowing Urlacher, that would be news only if he had named another team.
What I will do, however, is draw your attention to noted funnyman Paul Ryan, the Wisconsin congressman who is also the House Budget Committee chairman. Ryan has gained a bit of fame recently during the federal government's budget battle, and on Monday he couldn't resist a shot at Bears quarterback Jay Cutler during a speech to the Economic Club of Chicago.
The Washington Examiner has the full text of Ryan's prepared remarks, which he apparently embellished a bit during the actual speech. Fox News quoted him this way:"I want to thank you all for inviting me to speak. It was especially gracious of you to host me, even though I'm a Packers fan and I assume most of you are Bears fans. But that doesn't mean we can't work together. As chairman of the House Budget Committee, I stand ready to do whatever it takes to help you re-sign Jay Cutler.
"I'm here to talk about the economy today -- about the need to get four quarters of strong, consistent performance.
"That wasn't another Jay Cutler joke, I swear. It could be, but it's not."
Something is most definitely rotten in the state of Denmark. We have politicians making football jokes, football players spending more time in federal mediation than on the practice field and football writers ranking helmets. #stopthemadness!

This is one our illustrious politicians , one of the complete idiots, who has put this country trillions of dollars in debt ....... talking. Wow really important. If I bumped into any politician , I wouldn't smile and I wouldn't shake their hand. Just another example of the snowball effect that Cutler is going to have to deal with. Because some people just like being aholz. Ah well, what goes around comes around. Someday Cutler is going to have the last laugh.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

LMAO!!! Wisconsin has been in the news for it's poor handling of it's own budget crisis and this asshat Congressional Rep has the time to make Jay Cutler jokes. What really tears me up is that he's chairman of a Congressional budget committee as a reresentative of a state that's one of the biggest financial disasters in the country. If this guy is an example of one of their deep economic thinkers no wonder they have issues up there.
This guys idiocy may outstrip that of another famous Wisconsin statesman by the name of Joe MCarthy. Did he stop to think that even Rodgers missed game time due to injuries this past year before lampooning Cutler for it? This guys not clever, he's a stooge.

Joe McCarthy wasn't really that bad; Roy Cohn deciding to take on the Army is what ultimately brought him down.

Compared to who? Adolph Hitler or Judas Iscariot? Roy Cohn was just one more asshat in the commie witch hunt habadashery of the day but there's no way McCarthy gets off the hook. He's a perfect example of what happens when you bestow the mantle of power on those who don't wear it well.
