I object strenously!! When you take the top team in the NFL to 7 games and overtime plus outscore them for the series I would not call that choking. They were one goal pipe away from taking Vancouver out of the playoffs for the third straight year. It was the Canucks who choked, just not to death luckily for them. No matter how you slant it the an 8th seed team who gives the top seed all it can handle did not choke.

Unfortunately for a Cubs World Series Championship "Old Scratch" says he'll need all 6 Bulls past titles, their next 6, the Bear 86 Super Bowl win, and the Sox 2005 World Series Rings (even Ozzies) and even with all of that he can't give to you unless it goes 7 games and they win in the 11th inning of the final game because of another fan interference by Bartman which luckily benefits the Cubs this time.

You lose the number of core players, including your cup winning goalie, the Hawks lost this year and replace them with a washed up Marty Turco and a group of youngsters who haven't played together and see if your team even makes the playoffs. Oh wait a minute, they didn't make the playoffs did they?

And how you can turn coming back from 3 down to almost winning the series, on the road, against the best 2010-11 team in the NFL into something as negative as a "choke" is beyond me. I don't think you'd find one other hockey fan in the known world who'd back that point of view.

I'm not basing this on what 4th or anyone else thinks about the Bears losing to Green Bay or anything else. This is about what the Hawks accomplished and it was far from a choke.

If it was the Hurricanes you'd proclaiming that it was a miracle.
