We may have one of the best DLs in the league again this year. I would say that outside of Pittsburgh, we probably do have the best DL.
Marcus Harrison has been one major disappointment for the Bears, that's for certain. I haven't followed him much over the past three years he's been with the team, but it seems like the guy has absolutely no motor whatsoever. Luckily, Paea does, and I have a feeling that we're going to see it in vogue this Fall.

Pretty much the way I see it too. He's been undermotivated ever since he came into the league and I'd guess his rookie contract is up this year so his days as a cheap back up are over. If he can't do some damage in the preseason, if there is one, I wouldn't devote a roster spot to him. Rod Marinelli could motivate a corpse to dance a jig from what his players say and if he can't get anything out of Harrison there's nothing to be gotten.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I would rather see us sign another arena league DL than keep Harrison again.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Restore the roar!

We should have four core DT's all of whom are high motor players. I think the talent is there but we need to stay healthy. There is one thing that disturbs me. We're still a little thin when you consider that we have three guys who are in their first, second, and third seasons and as of yet are somewhat an unknown quantity. If we consider Harrison gone it may be wise to get a vet depth from FA. Not all that much to chose from but if a guy like Cullen Jenkins doesn't get himself bid up all to hell he may be one player that could provide some inside and outside help when and where needed. If he'd take a 2 year deal he might be a perfect plug and play guy to put into the rotation.

Cullen Jenkins would be good, the only minus to that is that he hasn't had many healthy seasons in recent years. He could potentially take the place of Henry Melton, he could rotate in and out with Paea and we would have one of the best three technique pass rushing combinations in the league.
What people tend to forget about Jenkins is that he did used to play in a 4-3 defense before the Packers switched over to 3-4. Therefore, he would have some experience from which to draw.

If I was that Corgi I'd bat that little f'n Chihuahua right across the room.
