Thread: Bears going back to orange alternates in 2012

They should take those orange jerseys and either ship them out here to the Broncos or incinerate them. It's always been Navy and Orange, never Orange and White!!!!

I high fived it because it's the best (and only) news I've heard all week.

i don't like the old jerseys, because i really can't make out the players, even on an HD screen (damn eyesight). I prefer the traditional unis, but if we gotta go with picking your poison, i'd take orange..

I like those Jersey but the Bears should start wearing those 40s jerseys only against the NFC North. Only should wear those Orange jerseys when we don't have Halloween week off.

throwbacks from last year were awesome

Much rather have the 1940's throwbacks over the 1920 oranges, every day of the week and twice on sunday. dissapointed not going with them again

then again, nothing is officailly announced and even the article says:

They did not deny the claim but said it had not been announced it on their website, as reported. I was told that the team would not comment since, at that time, the 2011 NFL schedule had not yet been released.
After speaking with the organization today, I can confirm that the team will indeed wear an alternate jersey in 2011, although the games have not been determined.

Yeah, the throwbacks with the orange numerals on navy tops looked great. I just can't see the orange jerseys at all though. Not once in any of our lifetimes have the Bears ever worn and orange jersey. The Broncos are going back to orange as their primary home uni next year. Let them have it because that's their tradition not ours.

I prefer the 1940s look myself. It was classic, classy, and we beat the Packers while wearing those uniforms!
