But again, compare him to Berrian, who did they have throwing to them? What kind of system are they in? (Knox in a pass first, Berrian in a power running game), and you have to be skeptical that he's gonna have a great breakout system, esp. when his route running is not just poor, but it often causes game changing turnovers. Hester never developed either, and he has roughly the same traits as knox.

None of the Bears receivers are great route runners in Martz's system right now. Not even Earl Bennett. It's a tough system to master and they've only had a year in it. Give it time and they'll all improve. Knox is far more polished than BB was at this point in his career and he had Grossman throwing to him who, while not as good as Cutler, was still a pretty fair deep ball QB.

Yeah, I didn't see Olsen drop all that many catchable balls either. I remember that he had one bad streak for a couple of games but overall he's got good hands and good body control while going for the ball.

I believe Knox is plenty talented and he will master the playbook fine. But if Drake can't clean even up the small stuff w/a hard working talented guy like Knox it's time to pull the plug on Drake.

i understand the complaint doesn't play "tough at times, and AFTER A CATCH would like to see more YAC and dragging of tacklers".. but NOT hands, he has very good hands and in 2010 his blocking actually improved alot, from awful to decent. : )

I understand what you're saying, but Knox is by far the worst route runner, it doesn't matter the system, he's showing that he's messing up on normal plays here. He may be showing promise over his rookie season, but only because the ball is getting thrown to him more often. Not saying he's not gonna play better, it's just that I'm skeptical this is a sign he's going to be anything close to elite.

guess you didn't see berian missing all his routes in 2004/2005?? and dropping balls for hy only 13 catches.. or just ignroing this simple fact, he got benched in 2005 for missing routes..

The knock on Berrian, a third-round draft pick by the Bears in 2003, has been that he can't do more than the vertical routes. Just as ex-Bear Marty Booker seethed when he was called a possession receiver, Berrian detests the label of being only a deep threat that has trouble running patterns

Define elite Henry. He's in the top ten for deep ball receiving but no one is ranking him top ten overall. So as a deep ball threat he is among the elite that's all these stats purport. I wouldn't rate him as elite overall either but so far he's been a hell of a find for a 5th round pick. Name me one other Bears wideout during the last few years whose accomplished what he has in his first two season.

Remember he was the toss in 5th round pick in the Cutler trade. So essentially we got Cutler and Knox in that trade and I'd defy anybody to say that we didn't get the best of the deal playerwise.

He's all right, and to say he's a better WR than other Chicago Bears isn't really saying much, honestly. Let's just say, if he makes pro bowl, it'll probably be another 2 years or more..
