yep, and that was my point, the media and some fans make it like getting back 15 starters or 15 contributors, when in reality at least 1/2 these players will not even be on the 2011 team.. which makes it much different if saying packers get back 2 starters and 3 back up's in 2011.. instead of packers getting back 15 players : )

The Packers may not even be as strong this coming year as they were last season.

Oh don't get me wrong Ric. I purely love to get Cutler his big guy in the offseason and if not then maybe just maybe they can find a way to make a red zone target out of Fantuz. I don't think he could help us anywhere else on the field but there. If Rice and/or Floyd are out there I'd jump at one of them the minute FA opened.

Funny, Brad Jones played in 6 games for us, starting 5. I wasn't aware players who never got play time were somehow able to start 5 games. Chillar and Poppinga (popinzits? are you 4?) both provided depth to our linebacking core. It doesn't matter if they played a snap or not, they were still providing depth at needed positions.

I see no reason why we wouldn't be. We won't be losing any key players, we're getting everyone back from IR and we have fresh players coming in from the draft. I see us being stronger than last season.

Everyone, and I do mean everyone but two players (Grant and I think Finley) are bench warmers who will be coming back off IR, so don't give me that. Just remember one thing: the Bears went to the Super Bowl in 2006, and the following year finished 7-9. It is entirely possible that your team may not be as good, and now that you not only have the Bears within the NFC North with whom to contend but the Lions as well, your schedule just got that much tougher.

be it popinzits, jones and even chillar, all not very good, so yeah ONE of them has to start and seems even your coaching staff just switches the stench around between the 3.. congrats on having bad players start because none better, guess that means must be good )

It's always tough for the SB Champ the year after. Everybody's gunning for you and yes your schedule is usually tougher as well. Despite those things I don't see the Packers becoming a .500 team at all. It's gonna take at least 11 wins to take the NFCN crown so I'd say anybody who gets 12 should be pretty well assured of the prize. One thing I will predict though is that the Packers will not be in the 2012 Super Bowl. Repeats are nearly impossible anymore especially when you play in a tough division.

The one thing that I see that the Bears will most definitely have to do to improve their offense is limit the number of sacks allowed. 56 is 56 too many. Hopefully with the acquisition of Gabe Carimi, he will strengthen a suspect O-line that gave up that many sacks last year.

Tired of being a tackling dummy......
