It's a debate with no answer, but fun to discuss the "what if's".. who knows if brady hadn't had time to learn and insted drafted by lions, would be still be brady?..if a harrington had gone to a team where he could ahve learned and instead of shell shocked on lions?

With bradshaw, i've just never been impresse, despite 2(!!) hall of fame WR's and a hall of fame Rb, he still could only throw above an 80 Qb ratign twice, and had a career 70.9 QB rating and thew almost as many td's and INts(212-210)for being more a caretaker than top QB.. and like mongo famously said about the 80's bears "D", the "O" is just there to give us a breather.. the steel curtain the same in the 1970's.. and despite bradshaw's medicore play many games the "D" would win it for them, not bradshaw.. think Douglas's earliy the same 71.4 qb rating with crappy WR's and medicore rb not as different as you think at first blush

I've seen Bradshaw's career statistics. I also know that most quarterbacks back in the 1960s-1970s had low(er) QB ratings, low pass completion percentages, etc., than what we see today. Staubach and Tarkenton, who were arguably the best quarterbacks of that day and age, weren't great, though they were better than Bradshaw.

That's a good observation and one reason why is that all through the 70's defenses were ahead of offenses ablity wise. Both teams who dominated that decade, Pitt and Minny, were known for defense. It was an era where WR's got mugged all game long and Safties like Jack Tatum and Doug Plank were more like LB's than DB's. There were fewer top ranked QB's then than there are today and even one of the best in the game, Roger Staubach, only carried an 83.4 career rating.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

No doubt had lower Qb ratings but 70.9 is still low even for then.. esp as said when you have 2 Hall of fame WR's to throw to..just not impressed with terry.. he's a better announcer than player IMO
