Split opinions on Urlacher's credentials for Hall of Fame

A superbowl would seal the deal.
He has HOF numbers that should get him in with or without a ring.
Two more pro-bowls and it's a lock. Oh,and a SB victory too.
If Nick Buoniconti , Rickey Jackson , and Andre Tippett qualified ...... then so should Urlacher . He's compares to these guys right now with a few more to go.
I think he has two things going against him:
Lack of Superbowl win
Number of Bears already in the Hall
If he doesnt get a ring, he might face a tough road into Canton, but i think he will get their eventually. With a ring, might be first or second ballot.
Don't think a SB really matters. It wouldn't hurt but wont keep him out if he doesn't get one either as there are many in the HOF who never played on a championship team.
Also cannot see his being selected influenced one way or the other by the number of Bears already in the hall, that would be stupid on the voters part to deny a great player because he happens to play for a ball club that has the most inductees. One would be shocked to not see one of the founding franchises not having the most inductees.
I also don't buy into the argument that he will be hurt by playing in the same era as Ray Lewis. It didn't hurt Ray Nitschke or Willie Lanier from getting in and they both played while arguably the best MLB (Butkus) to ever play the game was doing his thing.
I don't see anything keeping him out of the HOF at this point in his career, the only question left is will he be a first time ballot inductee or will he have to wait a few times before he gets the nod.......
Yeah it can't be proven one way or the other but it wont stop Favre from getting in for GB and they are only a few players behind the Bears in overall inductees.
I think the hesitation in putting Dent in had to do with those 80's Bears teams not winning more SB's and the fact that they already inducted three members from that era, but they knew that they had to put Dent in just based on his play matched up with his peers of the day that they were inducting. The pressure was not only coming from fans but it was coming from former players who knew how good he was so they had no choice in the end.
I think the problem stems more from the lack of championships the 80's Bears had then the individual personnel. The Vikings had some awesome players and teams in the 70's but for years it was only Tarkenton and Page in the Hall, now they have finally put in Yary, Krause and Eller from that 70's era as well as their head coach. I still think that there will be some more Bears inducted from the 80's like Jay Hilgenberg and possibly Jimbo Covert but it wont be any time soon.
You know, I don't know what all is different about Brian Urlacher compared to Ray Lewis. Sure, Ray Lewis is going into his 15th season, while Urlacher is preparing to play his 11th season. If you go by character, at least Urls didn't murder anyone.
Look. Urlacher is even more of a physical freak than Ray Lewis. Ray-Ray isn't anywhere near as big, and I dare say that Lewis can't run down Michael Vick from behind. Ray-Ray also has been blessed like Urlacher of playing with some gifted defensive players, like Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs. Ray-Ray isn't the All-Pro that he once was now; Urlacher was named to his fifth All-Pro team of some sort this past season. His first half of last season was just awesome. I do believe that he was still recovering from his wrist injury the first half of the season before he caught fire in the second half.
These fools who believe he's not a Hall of Famer are truly stupid. Who the f*ck is Jason La Canfora, anyway? He looks like a goggle-eyed dick head.
