I just can't for the life of me figure out where the hate comes from. You look at the things JA has been able to get done, the players he's been able to bring in... not just his draft ability but isn't the GM in charge of making FA moves as well? Making the Cutler Trade? Forte? Hester? Pep? Briggs? Tillman? Knox? Webb? Wright? Manning?
Add up all the Good and Great players VS the true "busts".... I'm not talking about the Tank Johnson and Cedric Benson's who are worth the pick they were taken at but ran out because of attitude/behavior issues.
He's not the top GM in the league by far, but for crying out loud he's nowhere near the worst and a HELL of a lot better than anyone is willing to give him credit for and that's just a damn shame.

A few of you remind me of born liars, while the rest of you are convicted of it.

Especially if it were a marijuana plant.

I wouldn't recognize half of the people on this forum as being true Bears fans. If they were, they wouldn't find everything in the world wrong with them. Granted, the Bears aren't perfect, but it's stupid to be so unhappy with the team that you literally almost hate them.

I disagree. True fans will always find something that needs to be improved, and will not be happy until they win a championship. The Bears have things they need to improve, and some fans are just pointing out the flaws. What is wrong with that?
When a fan stops complaining about the team, they become complacent. There is always room to improve no matter what you did the year before.

Maybe not every Chicago sports fan is in love with the Cubs after all...lol. That level of futility would absolutely grate my nerves.
I'm a New York Yankees fan, so I know what you're talking about when it comes to being nitpicky. At the same time, I also don't get so angry at them that all my passion for the team turns into a boiling pot of hatefulness and vitriol. Yes, I demand my teams to compete for championships, and the Yankees are the only franchise in North America that can do that every year. The best the Bears can hope for is to be like the Steelers and build a consistent winner every year, with the occasional down year or two. That's the way the NFL is..."Not For Long."
I say all this begrudgingly, but knowing full well that I'm being realistic. Ted Phillips was right when, to paraphrase what he said, "No team can win every year." It is the NFL, there is a hard salary cap that forces teams to jettison salary after so long, and so long as the owners and the league see it fit to do so, there will always be a hard cap. I would prefer to do a luxury tax like the ones in MLB and the NBA, but that will never happen. If that were to happen, the Bears would be competitive every year, no questions asked.
Do I get pissed off when the Bears lose and I sense that either the coaching staff or the front office is not doing their due-diligence in making sure the team's right? Sure. But I also like to sit back, relax, and watch football and enjoy it for what it is: a game where grown men go out and beat the shit out of each other once a week.

Read my reply to Jimmors. I think it sums up everything I believe in.
