Yep, id take anyone saying players "standing out" with a 50lb grain of salt motown.. and don't think useful for the "D" or o-line.. but has a "little" benefit for the Qb and WR's if for no other reason than as you said some condition and timing.. but again because not done under a critiquing eye or evaluation or at full speed with a defender on them... its not that valuable

I don't know why Bennett or any other WR should feel insulted that the Bears may be looking for help at WR. None of them are over 6' tall and 210lbs with the exception of Fantuz who's more "Fantuzy" than real. Bringing in a guy with size, speed, and experience to add to Cutler's weapons is not a bad thing Earl.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

agreed, but will also say like all people , even if know "new" people may come, i'd call it more uncertainity than being insulted

Bennett shouldn't worried though. Martz has praised him and already said he'll be seeing the ball more often this year. Knox has also earned his spot by virtue of his first two years performance so the guy a tall widebody guy would be taking reps from would be Hester which we all agree is what should happen anyway. He's the one guy that as far as WR's go I believe the less we depend upon him the more effective that he'll be.
Let him focus on his return game and then design a few more plays to get him loose on mismatches or routes where he can just get the room he needs to produce the big play and we'll get more scores out of him with fewer touches. At least that's how I see it.

Bennett and Knox are probably the last people that need to worry about a new WR coming in

The pessimist in me sees Martz revolutionizing the nfl with the 15 step drop...The optimist sees a more managable offense with easier routes for some of the "haven't gotten it yet"(Hester/Knox) WR's....

As said think more "human nature", just like when they bring in new people at work..tehreis always some hestitation and worry.. Agree he shouldn't worry and if bringing in a WR, its going to be a #1 and erd zone wr which is not what bennett does, so he shouldn't worry

you know what's funny. is there are teams that are still behind the curve with TONS more optimism than bear fans. I understand the frustration with some things, Hell I share most of those frustrations. I just don't get the constant "sky is falling" mentality with fans sometimes. what's the point in being a fan if all your gonna do is bring a rain cloud with you everywhere you post?...
I'm sure even raider fans know how to give it a rest once in a freaking while...
I swear at least a handfull of posters here are really packer fans in disguise.... there is just no other explanation for the compelete discontent no matter what we do.
