I agree even though our defense has been our bread and butter we need to concentrate on the offense. There is a reason the offense isnt on par with the rest of the league is cause the investment isnt there especially considering who our OC is. But if we were going dline we shouldnt go away from last years theory of going for the best. If they are planning on spending money on the dline the only worthwhile guy really is edwards

I can see them looking for another pass rusher but not before they address the OG issue and probably not before WR either. If Edwards is in a relatively small class of FA DE's his price will be higher than we may want to go and still bring in the help we need elsewhere. I'm guessing we'll see a couple of UDFA guys and then maybe they look at who gets released from other teams after camp. I think all we really need is one more body who can bring some pressure as depth. Izzy, Peppers, and Wooton will get the majority of the snaps. It won't be very often that Pep won't be on the field on a passing down.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Maybe, but Corey Wooten looked pretty good in spot duty last season and I'm sure they are going to give him every opportunity to get as much playing time in the DE rotation as possible. I think they definitely go after a DE early in the draft next year though.

Interesting they are talking about Weatherford when they have McGee signed. They keep bringing this kid back in so Toub must see something in him to do that. Be interesting to see how the punter situation plays out as I know Gould is in favor of his holder Maynard and that's the other thing as that trust in your holder takes time to develop as well so how will a new holder affect Robbies kicking game.

We need some open competition if Maynard is going so bringing in several guys makes sense although if they do go after Weatherford in FA you know he'll get the job. My guess is if whoever does end up punting can't hack the holders spot then they'll try Hanie. It's usually the Punter or QB who does it.

Mcgee is an unknown, so bringing in a known Punter makes sense to me.. there was no way theyw ere jsut going to hand the job to mcgee, he was going to have competition no matter what- and if can get a top punter in weatherford i'd be all for it..and i'd epxect hanie woul become the holder
