I fully believe that Dag, I'm just wondering how many games we give him before we rein him in again. Hopefully no more then 3-4.

This I agree with 100% but I think he rose to the top fairly quickly for two reasons. One he was cheap and two he'd actually agree to play for us. Not too many offensive players have been punching our dance card this year.
Maybe they all think Martz is the Anti-Christ too.![]()
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
Honey Badger Don't Care. Honey Badger Don't Give a Shit.

We ended up with Roy Williams (apparently w/o much effort ever being directed at Rice, Floyd, or Sims--who did express interest) for 2 primary reasons:
1) He came cheap
2) He has the Martz connection from the past
Maybe there is something to be said for the latter given that the off-season is so short this year that it might make some sense to get someone who already has some Martz-familiarity/experience (admittedly a stretch of justification). I'm still holding out hope for RW--probably false hope--that he can make a significant impact in the passing game. He better stay healthy and lose the dropsies.
If we had not traded Olsen (never saw that coming in a thousand years), I could be reasonably happy with this situation. We could have had:
2 "big" targets (Olsen, RW)
2 "speed" targets (Knox, Hester)
+ Bennett/Hurd
That would have been a respectable pass receiving corps. Of course, we were all expecting a FA upgrade to the OL in addition to Carimi which didn't happen either. As it is now, we gave away a good receiving TE and didn't add to the OL. Its looking more and more like this offseason may have hit its zenith the day Paea was drafted.
Regardless of whether or not Olsen was here, Bennett is our best pass catcher, hands down.
