PFW article but worth the read. This guy thinks we may pursue Moss and that JA will not spend the money for Rice given his injury last year. I'm not sure I buy into that. If we're convinced that Rice's injury isn't career threatening he's an almost perfect choice for a guy with the tools to become our #1 WR. We've been surprising lately with some of our moves so I wouldn't rule it out.
If we don't go that route more and more I think they may approach Santana Moss. We need another WR and he's an experienced vet who would give us an upgrade over what we have. I just question whether or not another sub 6' guy is the best route to follow.
Bears’ WR search not expected to end with splash

The Chicago Bears are expected to pursue a wide receiver in free agency and there is plenty of chatter about their options. Plaxico Burress(notes) called the Bears one of the top three teams he would like to sign with and Devin Hester(notes) has said he wants the team to pursue Santana Moss(notes) , a fellow University of Miami alumnus, when free agency begins.
The Chicago Tribune reported that the Bears have no interest in signing Burress, though, and there’s mutual interest between Moss and the Redskins, where Moss has spent the past six seasons.
Signing Sidney Rice(notes), one of the top free agents available, would be a move Bears fans would embrace, but sources are skeptical that GM Jerry Angelo will make that big of a splash, and Rice’s injury history – he missed 10 games last season for the rival Minnesota Vikings after undergoing hip surgery – could be a concern.
Don’t rule out Moss joining the Bears, but sources don’t expect that the team’s need for a good-sized No. 1 receiver will be addressed this offseason.
