Well that should make things easy on the rookie especially playing next to briggs and urlacher... if the kid does show something and get's a shot, I'm sure playing next to those two will elevate pretty much anyone's game...

Who's everyone Grizz? I'm thinking just the opposite. It's real gap oriented upfront and that cover-2 requires a whole lot of pass coverage instincts and tackling ability on the part of the backs. I'd agree with you that our scheme needs real athletic LB's who can play the run, pursue and drop in coverage and from that perspective Thomas is a good fit but it's still not all that simple a scheme in my opinion. Ever time we blow things positionally we seem to give up the big play. That takes some time to learn.
