He's be a good choice for another outside pass rusher. Kind of a Jared Allen light with that same non-stop motor. We need another DE and I didn't even realize he was a FA this year. Great sack totals last year.

Had to come back here to say this guy would be a nice addition to our pass rush. We need another DE and with his size, or rather lack thereof, he not an every down player but he might be a holy terror if we use him in our DE rotation. Peppers, Izzy, Wootton and Babin would make a nice rotation outside to go with Melton and Paea inside.

Despite the need for an OG and WR I really can't say that this wasn't a need as well. Not in a Lovie Smith defense anyway.

I'd be Ok with adding him but not b4 other needs are addressed first. Talented - yes ..... has also been inconsistent . His sack totals from last year looks good though.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

It's not so much inconsistency as it is not playing enough downs. From 2005 through 2009 he only played in 50 out of 96 games and only started in 10, yet he still managed to rack up 13.5 sacks in those 10 starts. Last year when he played and started all 16 games he had 12.5 sacks.

The nice thing about him is that even at age 31 with 8 years of experience the guy hasn't been overused and can still be a great situational pass rusher which is what he's been for the majority of his career. He's a real high motor guy pretty much like a smaller version of Jared Allen. If we can afford him without screwing up getting the OG we need I think he'd be a good pickup.

Sorry Windy but I can't see the Cowboys letting Doug Free go free. He's a decent LT and teams don't normally let them leave in FA.

I figured we got our fill of playing Tackles at the guard position after the williams ordeal. Carmimi and Webb are our bookend tackles for years to come, and I'm extremely happy about that.

Im not interested in seeing us ruin Carimi by putting him inside either. And Free wasnt all that he isnt worth big money.

Soul I would rather spend big money on Ray Edwards who would be a long term answer at DE playing opposite Peppers. I know that will leave us with big investments at DE but we have small investments at DT so why the hell not. I would rather add a bad ass DE then another over paid DB
