Be nice but I don't see it happening shorty. Once again it's Lovies smugness with what he's got combined with Martz arrogance about playing his kind of WR regardless of conditions. It's his funeral if it doesn't work.

Welcome back nerrad. Our pessimism tank was starting to get a little empty.

I don't think we necessarily need a big $ WR, but we could certainly use that go-to veteran on our squad. Knox, Bennet and Hester make up a good young core of role-players, and with that one addition of a consistent threat for teams to key on it should open up that trio to higher rates of success, as well as our run game. Regardless, at this point, I don't see much point in believing reports.

Butka said,
I never really was sure what to think. With as secretive as the Bears are, no one knows what they're thinking.
and my first thought was the Zen way concealing your thoughts. "A blank page cannot be read." or more literally, "To prevent others from knowing your thoughts, do not think anything." lol
I wonder if I should have put that in the bar scene instead.....
"Professional Armchair Quarterback" and other oxymora.....

The only ones I believe are the ones that say we won't spend big on one. That I believe to be true, we won't. There will be some guys out there who'll be cap casualties, like Mason, along with the other UFA's so I'm sure they won't press the panic button. There's time to find a contributing vet if they want one.

Mo, I don't see where the 500-600 extra yards that a top tier WR may give us over whoever we play now is gonna do much all by itself. If we don't fix those Oline problems Cutler won't get all that much mileage out of the guy anyway. We could live with a small improvement at WR this year as long as we get a major improvement on the Oline.

Soul we keep saying that year after year, and here we are 5 years later. At some point you have to get yourself that stud to help your qb. It is possible to do 2 things at once; court/sign an OL and a WR at the same time isn't impossible.

oline isnt the only reason our offense stinks. Look at what is happening in our division. Are we being competitive with the other three teams? Bullshit we are. And it isnt just that extra 500 yards. Its the extra 5 frickin tds. It is opening things up for our lump of coal wrs so that they can roam free a little.

And that was my point. You can't pass behind five matadors so if that's not fixed Jerry Rice in his prime wouldn't help.
