    I think we all knew when they did it that paying Devin Hester #1 WR kind of money wasn't wise but I'm not sure we had a choice if we wanted to keep him. There's no question that other teams were circling. Now were stuck with that contract for a #3 WR/KR/PR and it may become a yardstick for what Knox and Bennett will look for.

    As far as going after a big time WR I can see not getting involved in a bidding war over Rice, Holmes or Edwards but there's really no excuse for not looking at guys like Floyd or Sims-Walker to fill the need to a bigger guy. Do they really believe that Andy Fantuz is the answer?
    I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

    I know the guy was BMOC in Canada and he has great hands but he's TE slow so he better be able to jump because he sure as hell won't get much separation in the NFL. Just once I'd like to see us not take a thrift store approach to offensive skill players like we did with Manu and Taylor.

    I never really was sure what to thing. With as secretive as the Bears are, no one knows what they're thinging.

    But here's the think, one would thing with all the available cap space that they would realize that somethink needs to be done to help protect Cutler. The first think that most people thing of is the offensive line, and rightfully so. But many neglect to thing of a sure handed, tough WR, who goes for the ball as somethink with a similar positive effect. Thing of them as a safety valve or somethink like that.
