Thats the thing though, he CANT just up and leave. Bears still have him under contract for a year. All he can do is holdout or pull a Carson Palmer and retire.

I think the hard stance is the complete opposite of the way the Bears need to go on this one. Matt is a class act and is our best offensive player. You show him and everyone doubting the Bears right now that we know how to treat our own and hope the karma follows.

And they will. Im guessing the Front Office is more concerned about adding and subtracting right now then contract extensions. Once this crazy FA period is done, im willing to bet they will take care of Forte.

If he's threatening a holdout, he's not one to balk at, and rookies be damned, they haven't proven a thing in the league, so they shouldn't be a priority over a guy that's the closest thing we're gonna see to walter payton for a loooooooong time.

I doubt it comes to that. Patience is the key here. Id be very surprised if we start the season without a contract extension to Forte. They have the cash, they know he's due, and know its his last year. Just because they havent done it right this minute, doesnt mean it wont get done.

Be smart and rework the contract.... NOW .
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?

    A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?
