It needs to be kept in mind that the comment is what someone (CTurn2Fly) is saying to Forte. Also, the comment at the end is not indicated as Forte's reply. I'm not saying that it isn't a good point, but I'm not sure that the (twitter) post is a perfect representation of Forte's attitude.

He's gonna get his payday. Bears dont make it a habit of stiffing their players, thats why they always end up re-signing with the Bears (hester, kreutz, lach, etc). He's still on his rookie contract, and its up after this year, so you can bet they will pay him nicely in due time.

I'm pretty sure Forte's contract will be the LAST thing to get negotiated. it's not a slight against him, and as we've seen the bears are ALWAYS willing to take care of their own.
with the madness of the lockout, and the mad scramble for FA's and to sign rook's... I'll bet it get's addressed after thing calm down and training camp gets underway.
