You make a good point Jimmors but lets look at FA 2011 up to the minute.
So far we've gotten;
1) Adam Podlesh - top notch first tier punter, good move
2) Matt Spaeth - 2nd tier blocking TE, Martz driven addiction for big TE, ho hum
3) Roy Williams - 2nd tier WR, maybe arguable but the Cowboys cut him and he led the league in drops, another Martz need.
4) Vernon Gholston - No Tier, this guy has been so bad that even the NFL site doesn't list him as an active player, Mr. Insignificant!
5) Sam Hurd - 3rd tier WR but probably 1st tier ST guy, 4th and 26 will love him
I may have missed one but even if I did he's not a first tier Olineman. I'd say except for our new punter we're most definitely slipping back into our old ways. Maybe we can find this years version of OMG for the Oline now.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Sam Hurd, another Cowboy castoff; to replace the much needed R Davis on ST's.

Thx Ric, I added him, LOL. Pretty impressive group so far eh?

While I'm ranting, why don't the Bears just sign the biggest, fattest OL they can find, to give Cutler a half second longer to throw the ball. Also sign the SLOWEST, surehanded receiver they can. Its not like the Bears are going to be able to throw deep( except in Martz's mind / dreams).

Here's a thought...how about we all wait until the FA period is over before critiquing our lack of moves? Kind of hard to do when none of us have a clue about what moves are coming, if any.
I just get tired of the gut reactions you guys all seem to have. yes, i get it..JA has made some blunders over the years, and hes also made some steals. Im not saying "give him the benefit of the doubt," im just saying "wait until were done with FA" at least. I saw this in the Forte thread...everyone blasting JA for not extending Matt, but even Matt himself said JA has been in talks with his agent before and after the lockout and guaranteed him a deal.
I wanna see some OL pickups as much as anyone, but i also no FA is just getting started (Friday is the official start)
