    You'd think so but nothing official yet as far as I can see. Getting Durant would have been a nice upgrade but I can live with Roach as long as he's playing with Urlacher and Briggs. Wonder if they'll search for more help in FA or just bring back Pisa after his knee is rehabbed?
    I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

    You know Grizz I could probably live with Roach starting and Thomas as his backup this year. It's not that I'm a big fan of Roach but he's dependable enough, knows the defense and has the benefit of playing next to two of the best in the game which I'm sure helps his game. Much like you I've got a good feeling about JT Thomas based on what I've seen of his character and the highlight video we all saw.

    As good as we seem to be in pulling good defensive players like Chris Harris and Briggs out of the middle and late rounds he just might be a good fit and a starter in another year. He's seems to have the basic skills of a SLB and if he can cover and play sideline to sideline in the NFL like he did in college he'll be good.

    For what it's worth, the Bears prefer Roach to be Briggs back-up and be a ST standout.
