    Okoye Released

Just released according to multiple sources. Surely I'm not the only one who would like to see what he could do in the Tampa 2?

Tough to see how it could hurt. Marcus Harrsion needs to be replaced and here's a young DT to do it. He can't be any worse and since we can't seem to get anyone else interested in taking our $$$ on the Oline we may as well spend some of it on the Dline. Is he a NT type?

Two questions sox. 1) The guy was the 10th overall pick in the 2007 draft so why are they giving up on him? 2) Is this Christian Okoye's son?

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I'd think he's a better candidate to be reborn in a 4-3 than Gholston. Pull the trigger.

On another note, too bad Jenkins is an Eagle now. I would have liked to see him here.

And he signed for less than many thought he would ($25mil/5yrs). They've also signed Babin for the Dline and Asomugha at CB to add to Rogers-Cromartie and Assante Samuel. Plus they trade Kolb and pick up Young at QB. Seems to me these guys are really serious about going to the show this year. JA needs to get of his duff and see what you do when you have needs to fill.

What would it take $$$ to bring in a guy like Okoye? These vet DE's are getting an average of $5 mil per year. I would think that Okoye could be had for much less. Once again is the guy a NT or more of an UT?

Since they shifted Melton and drafted Paea do think he holds any interest for them?

I think he has to. We might have promising bodies there, but they are from from guarantees. We thrive off of Dline play, and JA is constantly making moves in attempt to bolster the D trench (why not the fucking Oline is beyond me) so I have a feeling here. It just makes too much sense for us. Then again, we've said that about a lot of guys and whiffed on all of them, so who the hell knows?
