This makes sense if Taylor getting cut cause he couldn't get any short yardage

And help is good help. Plus hes not to bad.
Lets just sign Leonard Davis and add another Cowboy, lol. I am laughing but it could happen if Garza is really our Center now.

Barber was always a battering ram of a RB and I thought he would have made a perfect Bears RB the year he was drafted but our GM had his head stuck up his ass then too apparently. There's no doubt he'd make a much better short yardage back than Taylor IF he still has anything left in his tank. He's put a lot of hard miles on that body by now and one scouting report I read on him says "he's a shell of his former self".
I have no problem with them bringing him in for a shot at a backup role but I've gotta wonder when they're gonna stop shopping these Cowboy "blue light specials". I'm not saying these were horrible pickups but the reality is that the Cowboys sucked last year and these guys were part of the reason they sucked. They may turn out not to be upgrades at all and I don't want to see us lose good young talent just to keep guys like Barber or Williams on the team.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Sometimes when u have too much talent others get lost in the mix. And other times players get contracts and disappear. I think that is the case with barber not enough touches with three starter worthy rbs. As far as Williams is concerned they r stacked at wr so maybe he got lost in the mix plus the drops he loses trust of qb sort of like how grossman and ko did with moose
That was my positive note of the day now get some damn blockers ja lol. We missed out on some good long term players for our offense so far instead going for short term fixes. I hope this works and if it does work I hope they don't let the players walk and we have to start over again.

One thing to take into consideration, soulman, is that you essentially had two wide receivers on the Cowboys last year with 1,000 yard seasons: Jason Witten (1,200 yards) and Miles Austin (1,041 yards). That might be part of the reason why Roy Williams wasn't targeted more. If he was injured, someone had to step up, and Williams was ultimately the odd man out and thus a casualty of the salary cap.

He wasn't targted more b/c he lead the league in drops. It was also his injury that allowed Austin to steal the #1 wr position away from him. Roy sucks, and should not only not be on our team, but should not be on any team.
I'll take Hurd and Barber, but Williams was a ginormous mistake.

I'm willing to give Roy Williams a try. I know that the Bears aren't going to sign Malcom Floyd now that they have Roy Williams. If Williams can revert back to the form he was at while he played for the Lions, then I'll be happy. If he can give me a 1,000 yards this season, then the acquisition will have been a success. That being said, the jury is out on the guy, and we need to see if he can stay healthy.
I'm frankly excited to have Marion Barber and Sam Hurd (his first name is Sam, correct?) on board. I think both could be different makers on special teams and in the offensive backfield, respectively. I would probably move Chester Taylor down on the depth chart to at least the third running back position, if not cut him off the roster altogether.

Roy has only had 1000 yards once, in 06; which is also the only year he ever played 16 games....and he only had 7 td's to go w/that. We don't have a choice but to give him a chance, it change it from being a bad move. There were plenty of good WR's out there and we went after the leader in drops. WTF'nG.
