A link showed a stats stating it; it also showed Spencer being in the bottom. Listen I'm not saying Olin didn't need replaced, I've called for it the past several years; but it had to be done through the draft, over the last few years. Or there had to be a clear plan in FA to improve it. Spencer is not anywhere near an improvement.

Did Olin bring leadership for many seasons? Yes he did but in all that time others should have learned how to pick up their own slack and kick themselves in the pants for motivation. It is time for guys to fend for themselves and more leaders to emerge. I'm not a fan of Spencer by any means but leadership also involves setting a on field example and getting dusted on your butt does not inspire a commanding leadership presence. Olin was tough as nails and sometimes that works against a team-being out there when perhaps you shouldn't.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

Well if on the field matters to other players, take a look at what both the O and D players are saying about not signing him....Apparently they have a lot more respect then the fans do for him.

what are the teammates expected to say? "he sucked...good riddance!!" c'mon everyone knew this day was coming..it sucks it's happening the way it is, but we all knew it was coming.

my problem with this is they would never do that on defense. If they have someone they are waiting on to take the next step they will still sign or draft someone as a "just in case". I guess that is why our defense has been consistently in the top half of the league. Now the offense we always have this take the next step approach and have failed every fricken damn time.

They didn't have to say what they have; it's not like the normal in the box stuff when I guy get's cut/leaves. Again, both sides of the ball(not normal) are saying how much he will be missed in all apsects of the game and the team. They are stating it is going to take a few days to get over him not resigning. Those are not the things teamates say when someone leaves; it's different.

#Bears Martz says Spencer will have to compete w/Garza at center, but could also play guard. http://yfrog.com/gyh6ajrj
