Henry I agree w/you whole heartedly. I think far to many people are putting faith into RW's 1 good year when he played all 16 game(that's right 1x 16 games in 6 years) and put up good #'s in a Martz O that was in a dome, which a Martz O which is perfect for success in that offensive style.

I like Bennett and Knox far more then I do Roy Williams, it's a shame that Martz sounds like he's going to push for Roy to get the ball more then he probably should.

And that's exactly what Mike Martz does and he's calling the plays so we should all be used to it by now. The only good thing is that Martz is working as a lame duck without an extension and really hanging his ass out to succeed. Maybe that's good because if he doesn't he's gone but I just hope we haven't screwed up our talent because of it.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

I'm about fed up with this "no Talent" at reciever crap...

we haven't set the world on fire, sure.... but we've got the tools and we've seen the potential. everyone want's to compare Martz run teams to TGSOT and that's like trying to compare every defense to the 85' bears.

dude... second year in the system and we should be beyond the bumps and bruises that come with learning the Martz offense.

Not to mention there isn't a single reciever in the NFL past OR present that could be successfull in the Turner Offense considering EVEYRONE in the NFL had it figured out and guys even said the KNEW WHAT PLAYS were coming... those couple season's did more to make our recievers look stupid than anyting... and they can't seem to shake that stigma.

how are you going to have ANY success in an offense where the defense doesnt just have a "good idea" where your going to be... they know EXACTLY where your going to be...

I'm not making excuses for Hester's lack of route running ability... it's an issue, but he's getting better. the two things he CAN do is Catch, and make people miss, and does it as well as anyone.

Knox has a penchant for cutting his slant routes short, but what is he? like a 3rd year guy?... He's DAMN good at sideline catches and getting his feet down. not a "go up and get it" guy, but just as good as any other #2 in the league.

everyone is so quick to dismiss good talent because of a shitty offensive system, and then the bumps and bruises that come with learning a new system... let alone one of THE MOST COMPLEX in the league....

for a bunch of "know it alls" bears fans don't seem to know crap...

we don't have the best corps by any means.... but the criticism they get is completely over the top and so beyond unfair it makes me wanna go door to door and MAKE PEOPLE ACTUALLY WATCH Before running their mouth's like they know something....
Of course we know all, Grizzly. And on top of that, you know more than all the rest of us animals on the farm ;)

DS is an average player. He'll be lucky to be on the active roster. I see practice squad in his future...

Don't confuse "talent" with "football player." Average talent? Yeah. But the kid's a player. He's tough, he's smart, he runs good routes, understands coverages, knows how to get open, he's a willing blocker, he catches everything, etc. Not the most physically gifted guy, but very skilled and he does his job well. Will that be good enough to make the 53-man? We'll see...

Ah... Ok... went from Hester to Sasenbacher on me...

I wouldn't count anyone out at this point... not cause I think the kid's an ace, cause I don't know what to think of him yet, but we've seen it in the NFL many times.... you can find talent in the most unlikely places sometimes...

I'm not gonna make any snap judgements on anyone I haven't seen play yet. that's why I actually love the pre-season games... you get a good look at the young guys that might not break the 53 man roster THIS year, but could come on later.

Like Big Toe... he was practice squad for a while and has been damn good, and a bit of a fan favorite... at least out here anyway...
