That works best if we have the corners to keep the game close, which worries me a bit at this point.

And, 1yr contracts have a way of really motivating any player cuz it's put up or shut up time .... and they all want bigger and especially longer contracts. We're going to find out which of the 1yr contract guys really want to continue to be pros, which probably = good things for the Bears.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

Here's hoping in the future we will be referring to Tommie Harris as a "watered-down Okoye" instead of calling Okoye "Tommie 2.0."
Fwiw...i remember Okoye in the draft, i thought it would be cool to pick him up, but wasnt surprised he was gone so quickly, so part of me is a little giddy to see him on the field with this DL. Would love nothing more to see him play lights out and get a fat extension from us.

Okoye will probably fill a similar role as Gholsten since the team resigned DT "Spice" Adams, drafted DT Paea, and DT Matt Toeina showing promise last season.

Great idea! Copy the strategy of the guys that concussed your QB last year, LOL. Like I've been saying Lovie and Jer never met a Dlineman they didn't like and there's a lot of them out there right now. Now if one of them could only convert to an OG we're all done with FA.

Yeppers and if each of those guys has a different agent who's also driving his ass for the long term deal this may be fun to watch. The trouble is sometimes guys like Gholston have that huge contract year then go back to being lazy again. Maybe we found a new approach. Just dumpster dive for other teams high draft pick castoffs and sign 'em all to one year deals and bring in a new crop every year.
That Jerry Angelo is one smooth mutha fvcka that's all I got to say.
Actually there may actually be a little bit of genius in this dumpster diving plan of his. If we make the Super Bowl with it despite our Oline I'll give him credit where credit is due and if not he pays cash or in blood!

of the C list pick ups we've made this year; he's the one w/the most upside and the one I'm axious to watch. Gholston would probably be a close 2nd, but I'm not really expecting much, I don't think he can/should be in the starting rotation and don't see him as an improvement over what we had last year. Hope he proves me wrong all the same b/c his "potential" is much higher.

I believe that Okoye has suffered more from being in the wrong system than Gholston has. The other factor is that Okoye was only 19 when he came to the NFL and nowhere near mature either mentally or physically. We couldn't be getting our shot with him at a better time and that's why I think we got to him about as quick as we got to Peppers last year. JA must have been drooling over it because no sooner had sox posted that he's been released than an hour so later came the announcement that we'd signed him.
Gholston can have a bigger impact as a pass rusher if he rediscovers himself in this defense but I think in the long run Okoye will be the better and more stable player. For the price we paid they were both great pickups though.
