Sour puss! You gotta stop wearin' those burlap boxers 4th.

Remember all the talk we had about the draft and how we needed to get a FA OL to make this team better? Well we have not made our offense better yet I don't see how I could not be negative with what we have done in FA. Unless JA were to get fired or hit by a train I probably will not be happy with this team.

Oh I'm completely on your side on this one. That post was just pokin' a little fun at ya'.
The one and only thing JA HAD to do in FA was to bring in Olineman talented enough to put at least one of last years starters back on the bench. He failed, then he made a series of very weak excuses for it and went about what he does best, building the defense. It's not that I think the Dline additions he made are bad or even that the CowBears won't help us but to have not done anything except weaken the Oline is inexcusable in my book as well.
The next time he drives over a Metra rail crossing you stall you car in front of him and I'll stall mine behind him. Choo Choo do the rest.
(we don't have a choo choo smilie but you get the general idea
)

what happened happened and it should come to no surprise to us. Might as well just sit back relax and see what happens. Nothing we can do about it now

as far as to what expect
Hurd-I expect nothing less then what Toub has done with past players on ST. I expect nothing on offense.
Barber-I expect we wont look like a bunch of pussies trying to get a one yard td. He made allot of sense to get even with the Taylor mistake still on the roster
Williams- I dont know what the hell to expect from him but might as well go with Martz said and expect 75 to 80 catches lol

And I expect that I will have too much Jack Daniels and be here bashing the living hell out of the entire team ..... LOL!!!!!!

Genius. I think that motto sums up Bears fans.

It kinda does doesn't it? At least that's my perception of what we do, LOL.

Sam Hurd will surprise. He's a guy that's always been burried on the Cowboys depth chart; he could have a sneaky productive year. The guy has skills.
Roy Williams? Where's the risk in this signing? He's a big-bodied bailout option for Cutler. He's only 29. He knows Martz's offense (which is even more essential in a lockout-shortened offseason). He has ability. And he has a strong-armed QB that will give him every chance to recapture his pro bowl form.
Marion Barber? I, for one, feel like this team, on 3rd and 2, or 4th and Goal from the 1, can't POUND it in. Forte isn't that physical. Taylor is finesse. With Barber? At least we have a guy that we know will go 100%, all-out, kamikaze madman bulldozing into the line of scrimmage. Is he a feature back? No. I think problem 1 was Dallas trying to make him one. He's a role player. A short-yardage power back.
The signing I'm most excited about is Amobi Okoye. He could be a special player in our defense. We'll see...

Great post Jersey!!!! I agree with you on every point. RWill and Barber give us something we did't have and badly needed and we took a very small risk on bringing them in.
Hurd may well be the best CowBear value of the bunch. I expect him to be a ST star but if we can get some use out of him on offense too it will be a real plus. We always seem to do better with these guys than wed do many of the "frontliners".
Okoye was the best pick up of them all IMO. Again something we've lacked ever since Tommie Harris' play went south is a good inside pass rusher and I think if we put Okoye at the UT spot along with Melton and Paea we'll solve that problem by committee if no other way. I like him better than I do Gholston.
