Bears sign DT Anthony Hargrove
My mistake on the last tweet - former #Saints DE/DT Anthony Hargrove has reached an agreement with the #Bears.

Hargrove was a good interior pass-rusher for the Saints in 2009, creating 5 sacks, his production declined last season but he is still an effective player.

We have a ton of competition at the DT position and yes Marcus Harrison is as good as gone.
Competition is never a bad thing and I think that either Melton or Hargrove could back up Izzy at LE.

Not a tough choice when he can't even get onto the field. Have some pride man!!

He was a hell of an athletic freak in college, but I haven't followed his pro career at all so I can't really comment. My guess is that he'll line up at LE and maybe UT in some pass rush situations when Melton, Paea and Okoye are tired.

I'm glad we have more DT competition than we can shake a stick at but how about the same kind of intensive search on the OL please
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

LMAO! What another Dlineman. Like I said JA and Lovie never met one they didn't like. If you ask me I think those two are smokin' crack together and havin' all kinds of fun with this. It's like; Jerry = Hey Lovie watch this, Hargroves agent just called and they want a one year deal too. Let's sign another one and tell Martzy that he can play both ways. Lovie = Your call dude.....and if your not gonna smoke it then pass it, ok?
Can we start a poll over how many more players we'll sign before we sign an Olineman?
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

While yes, its true that we should be bringing in tons of OL to compete for a job, DL and OL work a little differently. OL is all about continuity...get 5 guys that are solid players and let them develop and start with each other, substitutions are much more rare compared to the DL, especially since so many defensive packages require different skills.

All I'm looking for is better quality depth at this point.

Pretty spotty career. Not a starter caliber guy. Only 16.5 sacks over 7 years but had 5 in part time play in 2009. Only one in 2010 though. His size pretty much limits him to DE so he's probably Plan B if Gholston doesn't relocate himself. Most likely another one year deal. JA has done a few of these and he'll probably extend anyone who actually earns it. This is something we've never done before so at least if it fails to produce it's still unique. Maybe then we get points for style, LOL.
PS: Started out in St. Louis dontcha know, LOL.

I doubt Paea makes the team. Competition is a good at the DL
