Hillenmeyer was the slowest linebacker that I can think of in recent history. If you can get Tatupu for a bargain he would fill a position and give the Bears a good replacement should Urlacher or Briggs go down with an injury, and with Urlacher and Briggs being over 30 perhaps a solid step in should one of them retire. That's thinking a few years down. Either way I like Tatupu over Roach for sure.

Ok, decent feedback both! Speed isn't evrything if you can't use it because your instincts suck at that wasn't the case with Hilly and probably won't be with Tatupu either. Both are (were) very instinctive players so no question it can be done and yeah I'd rather play with him than against him too.

Doubt JA would spend the $$$ to sign him but then I didn't think he'd do what he has so far so I guess anything is possible.

Jerry Angelo has to spend more money. He hasn't reached the limit where he can cut off spending, so he is going to have to pick up the check somewhere on some player. Some of that will go toward Matt Forte, no doubt, but I think Leonard Davis and Lofa Tatupu would be worthy to look at.
