Chicago Bears How much is Forte worth?

Inonow he is a key part of the Bears, but how much shoude be signed for?

Give me your thoughts. Max Contract length, max money per year and max bonus.

He's worth what the other top rb's are getting paid right now. Pay the man, he's saved JA's and the coaching staff's ass w/his play multiple years, pay him, and wrap his ass up so he stays a Bear. He's a far better rb then any of the last 6 or so we've had previous to him.

Pay the man...we've gotten ridiculous value out of him and his rookie contract, now it's time to reward him...he's proven his worth.

He's 25 years old and should be entering the prime of his career. I'd give him a 4-5 year contract worth $5-6 mil per and a healthy signing bonus.

over his three year NFL career he's been a top 5 back. so... I think it goes without saying. Pay the man.

I'd pay him handsomely, but I would structure the contract to where it would be easy (on the cap) to cut ties after 3 years. Sorry but running backs fortunes can change in a flash.

I would say a 5 year extension worth 35-40 mil where 20 mil is given in first three years so that he is easily cuttable in case what butka brought up happens and has happened to many rbs in the game. Especially one overused as much as Forte has

4yr $26million w/ $17million guaranteed. Let's not forget that this year there is a $3million exception in the cap, so we really had $27million available before the Hargrove signing.

Panthers agreed to terms with RB DeAngelo Williams on a five-year, $43 million contract, including $21 million guaranteed.

JA will get laughed out of the negotiation room w/an offer that doesn't at least come close to DW's. And anyone here think that Forte is not a better rb then DeAngelo?

I'd like to see us lock him up for at the VERY LEAST 4 years. Not sure what the average is for the top paid backs in the league, but I'd throw in a roster bonus like we had for G.O. and for the couple of big names we already have. $500,000 roster bonus and 40mil over 4 years sound good?... plus incentives for performance and all that.... I'll be honest... I love any information I can get on the bears old or new... but I've never so much as wondered about contract figures....
