Practice notes: Sunday 8/7
BOURBONNAIS -- Brian Urlacher's interception of Jay Cutler during 7-on-7 drills highlighted Sunday night's practice at Olivet Nazarene University.
Urlacher read Cutler's eyes as the quarterback zeroed in on Roy Williams over the middle. It was Cutler's lone interception of the night.
Cutler completed 6-of-12 passes during the 7-on-7, but Earl Bennett had a drop and was out of bounds on one play. Bennett made up for it with two touchdowns in the red zone during the drill.
Williams got heckled early for dropping a pass during individual drills but was cheered after a few nice catches throughout the course of the night.
Cutler was 6-of-9 during full-team drills then went 2-for-3 during the 2-minute drill. He had an excellent deep ball to Devin Hester late in practice.
D.J. Moore and Craig Steltz both had interceptions off tipped passes.
Johnny Knox (back), Stephen Paea (knee) sat out practice while Anthony Adams (lower leg), and Lance Briggs (undisclosed) were banged up during practice.

I've heard Sazenbacher is looking like we could see him sometime this regular season.

I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

Is Paea's knee the same one he injured in college?
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I think it's just a scheduled precautionary thing that they are holding him back here and there since it's still fairly fresh. In case you've never had to do it, breaking up that healed scar tissue is pretty painful and takes time.

So, in all likelihood, he'll start to get heavily in the rotation down the stretch..Hopefully Okoye can produce the way he did last year, and we should have a stout D-line (esp. If Ghoulston was a bust in green and white only)
