Give me Barber, Bell and Unga behind Forte and I'll be happy.
Yeah, HB roles really are kind of impossible to flesh out before game-time. Nobody runs the same in low-to-no contact drills as they do when they are running for their careers come Sunday. I just hope the coaches see it that way and give everyone behind Forte equal carries against first and second units to make the position be earned by merit and not veteran favoritism or contracts.

As for surprises, DeCicco at MLB is a bit in that territory if for no other reason than the fact that we have two rookies on our second string with no veteran help in sight.

That would be nice and if Taylor is low man on the totem pole I hope they'll ditch him as they did with Manu even if we have to take a small cap hit for it. We have enough room to do that and I would like to see what these young guys have got. Look at what the Packers have discovered in the way of RB talent by keeping their younger prospects.

As long as we have Barber and he can still run with some power and carry the ball 10-12 times a game we really have no need for another vet like Taylor. Especially not after that abyssmal year he had in 2010. At least the younger guys should be able to provide some ST help and it would also be nice if we kept a true FB this year instead of using a TE in the backfield. Manu was worse as a blocking back than McKee.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.
