I agree that we will see changes throughout the year, just not as drastic as last year. Chris Williamsis the only one who is locked in right now. If Webb faulters you'll see Frank "Oh my God" Omiyale ome in at LT, maybe even Camiri. If Louis faulters Garza will shift over to RG and Spencer will be the C. I am just happy that we have more experienced depth in Omiayle and Spencer than we had last year even if they don't have outstanding talent.

Experienced yes, quality no. I may be expecting too much but I can't see anyway that J'Marcus Webb could possibly do any worse than OMG did at LT last year. OMG as the worst LT in the NFL and still we made it to the NFCC Game. Anything would be an improvement over him. I'd rather see them put Spencer in at OC, move Garza back to OG and put CWill at LT than to go through another year of OMG.
To me Spencer is a marginal pickup and he may not be the only one. I could see us picking up another vet Olineman for depth before the season starts but he won't be a starter. There's no doubt in my mind that they'll go with thoses guys they're starting now for as long as it takes for them to coalesce into a decent line and the main reason why is the backups are a lot worse than they are. This is one situation we really can't improve much by substitution.
I'm getting to that age where a lifetime warranty just doesn't mean as much to me anymore as an afternoon nap.

OMG was even worse at LG. With Spencer I think that's a Ruskell thing so I don't see us cutting him regardless of weather he tanks or not. Which hurts Edwin Williams who is better IMO. I haven't read or heard about any of the other backups coming on in camp like Asiata etc. So they better find some more depth somewhere otherwise we are one injury from being back towards bad.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
Dont get me wrong. I am not saying that this is a pro bowl studded o-line. I am saying that I am more confident in this line than last years crop, which was poor to say the least.

Confidence is a relative term brother. Like I'm more confident that I could swim across Lake Michigan than the Atlantic Ocean but I don't think I'd live through either attempt.
Right now I'm more worried about Cutler's confidence in them and his life expectancy rather than I and yours or mine, LOL.

I said it b4 and I'll say it again. I believe they will be better. A lot better. Patience pessimists.
It's hard to even think they could be worse now that we've found a way to keep OMG off the field. I like what I hear Tice saying and I liked the analysis that Greg Garbriel did on them. Obviously there's talent there so the real question is whether or not they can bring that talent out on game day and with some time playing together develop the cohesiveness they need.
One thing for certain is that this is a bigger more physical line than last years but really not any less experienced although that isn't saying much. I have a ton of confidence that Carimi will play really well once he gets a game or two under his belt but the big question mark to me is at LT. Can Webb really become that barricade of a blindside pass protector we need? That's where we were most vulnerable last year and that's what needed fixing above all. Let's hope he can do it because other than shifting Carimi back to LT all we have behind those two right now is OMG again!

Man I hope we drafted Carimi for just what he is suppossed to do.
Anybody remember JOHN TAIT? We spent a fortune on that guy amd immediatley played him out of position.
