A tweet from Greg Jennings:
Seriously, I would stay with Cutler. Even though Rodgers is more advanced in his game now I don't believe it will always be that way. To me Rodgers game has nearly peaked. He's a great QB for a player so young but Cutler has miles to go before he peaks so who eventually becomes better is still to be determined. Let's see where we sit 10 years from now but for now I'll support the guy we've got instead of wishing for the one we don't.

How do you know Cutler hasn't peaked and Rodgers has? Is there a meter somewhere I'm not seeing? For all you know, Cutler could have peaked and Rodgers could still get better. There are still several things Rodgers can work on to improve and get even better than he already is, just like there are lots of things Cutler can work on to get better.

I'm less certain about Rodgers peak than I am about Cutler's but I'm pretty confident in what I'm saying. Don't forget I've had the opportunity to follow Cutler ever since he came to the NFL and watched him in his years with the Broncos before he came to the Bears. He was developing very well under Shanny and if that had continued he wouldn't even be the Bears QB. He'd still be in Denver.
He had lousy mechanics when he came into the league and the lack of working through that consistently meant that as late as last year he still had lousy mechanics. Apparently he spent some time on that in the offseason on his own and the word out of camp is that he's world's better than before. That alone should help. By his 3rd year his decision making was vastly improved, he led the AFC in passing and made the pro-bowl. Then came the trade.
He came to a team with a lousy offense with a poor WR core run by a very mediocre OC who does a poor job of developing QB and he backslid. Last year his WR core improved some but the Oline was atrocious and while he finally was with an OC with a rep for developing QB's at the same time he was just learning one of the more complicated offensive schemes in existence. Added to that he still had lousy mechanics and was still inconsistent in his decision making and execution.
Seemingly most of that will improve this year and I'm optimistic that it will so we'll see where the two stand at the end of 2011. I think Rodgers will still hold the edge but the gap will have narrowed considerably. That's my answer.

I strongly believe you are all missing the point here. I think our president was merely being gracious to his guests and made a joke that isn't worth the trouble it's receiving.

Rodgers would probably retire before comming to Chicago while Jay would probably be the most excited qb in the NFL to go to the packers that have an OL and legit WRs.

Indeed. It was probably something like "oh, im part owner of the Packers now? Hurr...trade your QB hurr!"
So yeah...im willing to bet he probably doesnt even know who the Bears starting QB is, and this was a bad attempt at making a joke.
