Don't know why it is but we seem to have gone through this who gonna play LT thing ever year since Blake Brockermeyer left and the last really great LT we drafted was Jimbo Covert. John Tait was a brief respite but never really a LT so much as a RT. We really need to change this.

I think Tait was an above average to pretty darn good LT, but you are correct he was better as a RT.

All credit to Tice for going for a starting OL that doesn't contain Omiyale.
Luckily we've still got a few fall back options that don't involve Omiyale, including:
1. Carimi / Williams / Garza / Louis / Webb
2. Williams / Louis / Spencer / Garza / Carimi
3. Carimi / Garza / Spencer / Louis / Williams
4. Starting with four OLmen.

I'm thinking we might end up with Carimi/Garza/Spencer/Louis/Webb.

For all the fucking hype-ass bullshit about Louis in camp, not only was Williams 1,000 times better than him this weekend, he was 1,000 times better last season game for game. Chris had a quality first preseason game, so I don't know why we are still writing him off because of some comments from media retards watching these guys in their first week back after seven months away from the game.

First of all I never said Tice should be fired but the way some people talk about him on this site I was under the impression he could polish a few turds on this OL turn things around. Second this game was against the Bills who are not known for their dominate pass rushing so giving up 9 sacks is a concern to me.

I'll give him that but if that's the best we can do we need to do better eh? I don't know about eveybody else but I'm curious as hell about how well Carimi would do there instead of Webb. At least we know he wouldn't show up without the required "intensity"!!!!!

I'll settle for almost anything that doesn't include OMG doing anything more than guarding the Gatorade Jug rather than Cutler's blindside but what I'm afraid of is that Tice's being enamored of keeping Carimi on the right side because of his run blocking and leaving CWill to develop at OG leaves no one else in the cupboard to replace Webb if he doesn't improve quickly.
I think I'm gonna have bad dreams about this tonight.

I thought CWill did just fine so far. He got out in front of a couple of those runs Barber made and threw nice blocks and I didn't notice that it was his guy getting the sacks either. As for Louis maybe he does fine in practice but gets brain freeze when the real thing starts. I'm really very much in favor of moving Garza back to RG and putting Spencer at OC now, immediately, this week, without delay if for no other reason than the fact that Spencer is an OC and Garza is not. Not doing it is almost as strange as what Rosenbloom had to say about our drafting of two 1st round LT's and having neither of them play LT, LOL.

I can see a combo of Carimi-Williams-E Williams-Garza-Webb working
