Not a good thing as far as his chances of making the roster unless they keep 4 RB's and Taylor is cut. I know he was away for the birth of his child and maybe there have been complications with the baby or his wife. Hope things are ok with his family.

I don't think they're gonna cut Taylor. If Forte goes down, Taylor runs better routes than Barber or Bell, and in this offense, the backs need to be good pass catchers / route runners

I appreciate that this is your opinion Nick but I don't think that's true. Both Barber and Bell as very good pass catchers and backs don't really have much in the way of routes to run anyway when they're coming our of the backfield. It's usually a swing pass, a screen pass, or a short pass to the flat. We couldn't even use Taylor flanked out the way we do with Forte. Where Taylor may have an advantage over the other two is in blitz pick up but to me that's not enough to keep in unproductive ass around.
The only way Taylor even stands a chance is if we keep four RB's and if Unga continues to show power like he did last Saturday and can play ST there isn't much of a reason for keeping Taylor at $1.25 mil over Unga at around $400k. I'd be willing to bet that unless Forte goes down Taylor is history in Chicago.
