I loved to see us on one passing play have FIVE seconds to throw.
Our ST tanked last year in the preseason and did well reg season
I'm glad the Giants handed the D line their butts now. They will continue to work and not believe their own hype.
Where was Paea? Harrison should be gone
Onrea Jones is even better than Rwill
Best to get out all the bad luck, bumps, bruises now. I wished we played the Giants every pre season game this year-it exposes our problems and will make us better.

Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.

I blame Jerry Angelo for last nights loss.

They didn't seem to ever generate much past the 20 yard line on returns....that I can remember anyway.
Still can't pound it in from the 1 yard line.
Receiving was horrible.
Taylor is NOT as good as Barber/Bell. (He really didn't look all that good last year either.)
Defense couldn't stop anything.
yada yada ..... looks like the same old Mediocre Bogus Bears.
BUT WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!......."Looks are deceiving"!
Seriously......what, exactly, is the Defense playing for? They're basically just knocking the winter' rust off. They'll be just fine. I'll take that performance in a pre-season game over losing any one of them for the season!
Kick returns, between Knox and Hester will be awesome. You can definitely see it. (The return guy is always gonna get his azz pounded into the turf. Why risk that in a pre-season game?)
Receiving, and getting the ball into the endzone inside the RED, especially from inside the 5 (4,3,2,1), is gonna be a problem I think. (With "getting in the endzone" being the lesser of the two. I have total faith in Barber and Bell. Not so much in Taylor.)
So....really, that leaves the receiving. (well, quite a bit more then that.....but that's where I'm focusing right now)
ummmmmm ...... don't really know where to go with that. But they certainly have the firepower between Knox, Hester, Williams, Bennett, and Hurd ....... geesus! ..... Do something guys!!!!!
They NEED to figure out who the hell is who.
From what I've read, they have Hester and Williams vying for position with 1st team. And then they have Knox and Hurd on the second squad.
I gotta wonder if it makes more sense to have Williams and Hurd on 1st, and Knox and Hester on 2nd....?????
With Hester focusing on what he does best......RETURN. And perhaps an occasional threat receiving. (But, that's just my own bewilderment. I'm sure the coaches know what they're doing......)
As for Bennett? ..... well, he's ok in the slot, and keeping the bench warm, in between, on those cold Chicago afternoons.
Oh, occasionally he shines.....but not all that often. I guess none of them do consistently......yet. This just may be Bennetts year! .... :-)
And the saga continues...... :-)
I have a strange feeling, with it being the second to the last pre-season game coming up, that we will CRUSH The TITANS.
And, if not........so what. It's only Pre-Season. Right?
...... :-)

I'm w/ Butka here. It's preseason, and therefore vanilla playcalling on O and D.
Line play was improved on O.
Run line play was suspect on D.
Special teams coverage was pretty bad. I don't care what the backup/gonna be cut punter did.

The most important stat of the game is that Jay did not get hurt.

IF play calling is vanilla and all, then we don't know how much stock to put into the OL looking better either then.

That's why you simply look at the physical matchups.

I would have to imagine Kellen Davis playing a bigger role in goal line sets this year as well, not going to Hester with goal line passes.

team looks like it will basically be the same as last year: good D, good running game, good STs, questionable WRs, and lack of an OL in pass protection. Yeah, they changed some of the ingredients, but it appears they cooked the same meal.

Looks like some of our receivers and the majority of our defensive backs haven't been pushing each other hard enough in camp. Seem to have been given a wake up call by the Giants.
Now if only the wake up call also extended to Williams' fingers...
