Bears backup tight end Desmond Clark indicated the knee injury he suffered in Saturday's preseason game against Tennessee wasn't as bad as it appeared to be, posting on Twitter that he's confident he will return soon.
Clark left the field on a cart in the fourth quarter after taking a brutal hit to the left knee from Titans safety Anthony Smith while trying to make a catch. On Sunday, he posted on Twitter, "Took quite a shot out there but feeling confident I'll be ok and back on the field soon."
The was no update Sunday from the Bears on Clark or running back Marion Barber, who left with a calf injury in the first half.

Some good new regarding Des but no word on Barber yet and that has me worried more. They said during the game that it was a calf injury and that's what's slowed him down for the past two years. An injury like that will have an effect on burst and power and if this thing is chronic we may have seen the best of him we'll see all year already. Let's hope not because he realy has been making that running game cook when he alternated with Forte and Bell.

Well, that's good to hear. I was ready to call it a season for Dez after watching it streaming last night and a career for him watching it in HD this morning. Knees just don't bend that way. I wasn't too torn up about it because I want Andre Smith to make this roster so bad as a blocking specialist, but Dez is an all around quality veteran player and person to have on a team.
