I also hear Olin kicked AB off the team.

How could Jerry Angelo say no to him, I mean he plays on the DL.

no, we won't see Brown back in a bear uniform....we're thinking with our heads and Jerry thinks with his ass.....If he'd cut Rwill, tell Chester he really is fired and bring back 96....I think I'd need a defibrillator!

Personally, I was sad to see AB leave. (Yes I know it was a money decision.) I thought he would have a break out year opposite Pep. While I would love for the bears to sign him, it's possible that he's starting to fade/nothing left in the tank. http://www.nfl.com/player/alexbrown/2505098/careerstats
Now, i realize that the stats don't always tell the whole story, but if the saints played him as much as the bears did, then it would follow that he's on the decline. If, on the other hand he was a situational player, then it's entirely possible that he's as good as he ever was, and therefore may be worth a look.

the rare occastion where I get to be the bad guy.
Alex Brown was good at batting passes. as for everything else he was just as mediocre as the next guy.
now your talking about a guy who played on the same line as Tommie Harris when he was in Pro bowl form and never even got close to the sack totals we expected from him and Ogun.

I say yes, bring him back.

Alex Brow has nothing left. I say no thanks. Idonije and Wootton have that Rotation at DE locked in place.

That's a better way of saying it...

I have the same stance. As much as I loved AB, we don't want him back. He was a great bear, but is at the end of his game. We seem to be fairly well stacked at DE and we'd have to bump some youth off of the squad to have him fill a spot.

Alex brown was good vs the run and he was one of a few DE that could chase a running back down. Funny how people seem to forget the other contributions he did for the bears. His sack total was not great but he excelled in other areas. As far as Wootton he could very well be another Mark Anderson who is remembers for their first year or a certain play that ended a 60 yr old quarterbacks career. He has done nothing to impress me he is a legit DE.

As a substitute swing DE to fill in due to the fact I believe it will take Wootton longer to mend than they say. I say yes, it beats JA going to the arena league like he did last year after Manderson was cut.
Arguing on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win your still messed up.
