Desiring A Satin Starter Bears Jacket
I am so pissed off at what may or may not be some fellow Bears fans. Looking at eBay to find satin Starter Bears jacket I keep seeing one or two things that really piss me off. What makes one of these just a satin jacket while an exact same jacket is called a Ditka or a Payton jacket? Why does adding one of those names make the jacket go from a fair market price of $10-50 to $150 or $200. One greedy guy even jacked his up to $220! When I asked the guy if Uncle Mike ever wore the jacket or if he signed it, or for any other reason it should be called a Ditka jacket, he responded with some crap answer A. that said everything he sold went toward medical research and treatment for his son, B. everybody knows Mike Ditka was a great football coach, and he was surprised that I didn't know that!, C. the jackets are high quality and since it's tied to Ditka it was therefore worth more money. He never did say exactly how the jacket was tied to Uncle Mike. And he did not sell the jacket because nobody is stupid enough to pay $220 for a jacket that another guy bought for $10.50 within an hour of Mr. Greed's auction. His $220 Ditka Jacket did not sell - zero bids. (He lived in Green Bay by the way.) The other greedy guys who were asking $200, $159, $149, $99.99, or anything over $39.99 also did not sell their jackets. That should clearly make them see the fair market value, but they couldn't see past their greed.
So why do my fellow Bear fans pull crap like that? They must realize that the person wanting to buy the jacket is a Bears fan, and obviously knows who Payton, Sayers, Ditka, Hampton, Dent, Perry, Singletary, etc, etc, etc are. So why would a fellow fan try to rip me off by trying to make me or any other Bears fan pay so much more for a jacket that is somehow worth $150 less if the seller doesn't tie a player's name to the thing? Come on guys. Throw a fellow fan a bone here. If you've got one of these satin jackets in your closet doing nothing except gathering dust, and you can part with it, give it, loan it, or sell it to a brother Bears fan. I understand people need money in these terrible times, but on the other hand buyers don't have any extra money sitting around to pay 3-8 times what a jacket is worth. Seeing a guy buy one for $10.50 made me crazy! I had logged into eBay about 20 seconds before that auction ended, so all I could do was watch me miss out on what looked like a brand new Satin Starter Bears Jacket.
I am in Colorado, so I won't see these jackets at local garage or rummage sales, flea markets, or anything like that like I might if I still lived in Waukegan. I could buy a ton of Bronco stuff here, but why would I do that? I'm a Bears fan. So my only way to get Bears stuff is through eBay, and when these people get greedy and jack the starting price up so high, it kind of leaves me in the dust just wishing. I wear a large, but would be able to go with an extra large. So I am hoping to get lucky and be like that guy that got the real nice starter jacket for $10.50. He paid $18 total after shipping. You could roll one of these jackets up and fit it in the small Postal Flat Rate Priority boxes for $5.20 at the P.O. or $5 if you sent it from home. The boxes are free and at usps.com you can print a mailing label on plain white paper and tape it on the box. When you mail it from home you get free Delivery Confirmation, so it gets tracked. So I would love somebody who has a lot of love for his fellow fan to send me one for free, but I would otherwise hope a guy would do the whole deal for a $20 bill. If not, and you don't expect me to pay a whole lot more by calling it a Ditka jacket, then let me know if you have that satin piling up with dust. I really desire to have one, I want one, and I even covet one, and I have for years. I just have this good feeling that I'm going to be proud to be wearing a Bears jacket every day due to them having an excellent season. Help me out please if you can.

I searched "satin bears jacket" on yahoo and they ranged from 40-160 on non-ebay sites. The one I got, my parents bought back in 89. I still fit in it, a little tight but not bad fit.

These seem reasonable, although I have no idea what size you are.
Other than that, if you can buy tons of Bronco stuff out there, start buying and resell it on Ebay or have a garage sale on all of it.

You can go on Starstruck.com and find many good items. If you click SALE there's a nice leather Bears jacket thats only $79 . There's a satin thats 110.
What should you call any : Fumble , Hold , Interception , Three and out , or Sack ?
A " F.H.I.T.S " ? or a J'Marcus ?

You suggest I buy a bunch of Bronco stuff and then sell it. I'm not after money, I'm after the Bears jacket. When it comes to the other guys charging a lot of money, it's not the money that gets me mad, it's them knowing that the only person who will be buying their jacket is another Bears fan, and they are taking advantage of that other fan.

Probably not real Bear's fans selling. People will say anything to make a buck.
