I'm not worried about our D at all. If we still play like that after week 5-8 it may be time to worry, but it's week 1 and they stepped up and made plays when they had to.
Well, after the game, what do you think now? I think our defense is pretty freaking dominant.

And what did I say? We got pressure up the middle from our DTs and scored 20+ points (should've been 30+) on offense.
The Bears can do that to any team in the league. OL has to block much better but that'll come.

The Falcons looked like trash in every single facet of the game just like they did when we waxed them in the playoffs last season.

Oh, that's right, it's because the falcon's suck. Their entire online was getting blown away almost every play because they have a bunch of UDFA's in the trenches... lol.

To be fair to the Falcs, they were missing a good portion of their interior OL; and were dumb enough to let Dahl go. We we should have crushed that OL. Next 2-3 weeks will be a much better test.
Atl is not trash, but EN does have a point, they looked like crap in the playoffs last year too; same w/KC, wonder if that run for those teams is over.

Go back and watch the Packers Falcons playoff game. They looked the exact same way they did on Sunday. Terrible.

Bullshit. The Bears' 'D' picked up right where it left off. The shut down the Packers in the second half of the NFC Championship and only improved from there. The ability to pressure the QB with the front 4 is invaluable.
Trying to downplay the Bears awesome game with lame excuses is well...lame.
And with the Saints and Packers 'D' getting lit up last week, the prospect of facing them isn't nearly as daunting as people are making it out to be.
I have no idea why people think the Packers are so much better than the Bears. That didn't show AT ALL last year. The Bears went blow-for-blow with them with a pretty mediocre offense. That won't be an issue this year, I think.

Granted, Cutler got knocked out of the game and OL play still has to improve. But the offensive play-calling was superb in the 1st game and will only get better. It will be even more difficult to score agains the Bears' 'D' because of pressure up the middle. And the Pack's OL isn't anything to write home about either (Rodger got concussed and missed a game last year too).

So it's BS that the Falcs were missing 2 of 3 interior OL; and replaced their Probowl C w/someone not near as talented? Oh wait that is exactly what they did.
I didn't downplay the game at all; I stated a fact, the DL should have demolished that OL; it was missing peices that should have been there; and a huge piece from last year. That's not downpalying it; per usual you take any critique and act as if it's a hate spewed comment; GTF over yourself.
People think the packers are so much better b/c they beat us in the NFCC and went on to win the SB w/15 guys on IR; some of them significant starters; and now they are all back. Meanwhile the Bears are pretty much the same team they were last year. Not hard to figure it out.
I think we can go 4-0 to start the season, but our hardest games are against GB and Det, b/c of their DL's; don't think I'm hating on us merely a honest look at the two teams. I think it will also be harder for us to pressure Rogers, they have a better OL then Atl does; and Atl's worse then normal. If you don't get that; sorry for your luck.
